English is the lingua franca for the site, but translations of certain posts into other languages would be brilliant.

George,

Sure. Do you plan to make a multilingual site?

I'm always thinking about contributing, we just don't have as much access to anything interesting as those of you who are in Japan.

If its ok with you, could I get a copy of the translations? I would like to add them onto this site as well.

Cheers!

Thanks!

Definitely. All the translated articles I have on my site are credited and published with permission from the authors.

I have a few more questions for you, I'll contact you via your blog when I have the time to formulate them, if it's ok with you.

Richard,

Very nice article, thank you! Woud you mind if I put a translation on my website? I put together a number of articles on the iaido/jodo-related topics that are not otherwise accessible in Russian, and this is one that I'd like to include.

Thanks.

Richard, very nice article. I have to apologize for jumping the gun on my previous post; I wasn't clear on the scheduling process, and I didn't mean to cut in line. Looking forward to the next one!

Thanks guys. As you can probably tell, I had a hard time trying to nail down the quirks of gakusei iai in English. In Japanese it's equally as hard, but I suspect the words 深み and 風格 would come up.

I was keen to describe what it was like to be a member of a university club, as the experience was very different to keiko at any other dojo I've been to. One thing I don't miss is the prolonged leg conditioning, as useful as it is. If either of you have yet to be put through the torture of 膝浮かし I'll introduce you to it when I come to visit.
