Site update

So I’ve spent the last week or so updating the site quite drastically: new theme, new sections, and I’ve attempted to merge the 2 child sites of eikenkai.net and kendo-book.com under the kenshi247.net banner. Hard work!

The section you are looking at now is actually a BLOG section… i.e. chatty, commentary, or random posts will be found in this section. This is so we can keep the more in-depth articles separate. I’m not sure how much I will write in this section, so lets see!!!

At any rate, the site now contains the following sections:

  • Publications – information about physical/digital publications we produce
  • Eikenkai (eikenkai.net) – information, news, and pictures about the keikokai
  • Articles (kenshi247.net) – serious kendo-related articles
  • Portfolio – pictures and what not
  • About – information about the site and editor

    One of my aims is to be a lot more proactive about putting my photography out there for the world to see. This will take some time to organise but in the meantime heres some old (slightly dodgy!) material:

    GeorgeM George McCall George is based in Osaka, Japan. He is the founder and chief editor of kenshi247.net, is a high school kendo club coach, studies classical Japanese martial arts, and runs his own keikokai (eikenkai.net). When he is not in the dojo you can find him reading books on the history of kendo and its related arts.
