The idea behind this website is to provide a collaboratively produced kendo (and its relatated arts) blog. Many people from all parts of the world can provide information on whats happening in their area as well as writing about all types of kendo-related articles.

On occasion I will invite guest bloggers to write on their various experience practising Japanese budo, both non-Japanese, and Japanese kenshi.

At the beginning I am sure this will have a heavy Japan-bias but, hopefully given time and the addition of a few contributors, this blog will pick up some speed and be updated on a regular basis with news from all over.

Since I am British, there will undoubtly be quite a few Brits in the mix at the start, but I would prefer to have as many nationalities represented as possible.

Can I contribute?

The basic requirements are that you are actively studying kendo, iaido, jodo, or koryu; have a clear written style; and have interesting stuff to write about.

We don’t require you to be a 7dan with 40 years of experience under your belt but, in principle, we are looking for people with at least a good 10+ years of training behind them, or someone who has a speciality field, or has special circumstances (for example, a member of a fledgling association, a national team member, a practitioner of a rare art, etc).

If you wish to contribute then please get in touch stating who you are, what you want to blog, and the area that you are in, and we can talk about it.
