Shinkage-ryu iai

kenshi247.net is also heavily interested in the visual aspect of kendo and budo practise. Personally, I spend a lot of time WATCHING kendo/koryu as well as practising and participating these arts. Via the medium of photography I have found a new world waiting to be explored, a depth that I hadn’t seen before. Be that in the expressions of the people practising, or in the mood of the spectators.

With that in mind, I present a couple of small galleries of images that I have taken myself, and also a link to the kenshi247.net moderated ART OF KENDO flickr group, where you can see brilliant kendo pictures from all parts of the globe. If you have exceptional kendo pictures yourself, then by all means contribute!

Also – starting January 2010 – is the side project kendo365, which aims to publish a kendo picture everyday of the year.

Lastly, there is a link to the just-started and still quite immature kenshi247.net youtube channel for those that like their images moving.
